Design of a legislative tracking, searching and researching platform, from idea to final product launch.

Signals are hard to extract from so much legislative noise. Tracking is manual and time-consuming. Generic newsletters feel unstructured, overwhelming or too shallow. There is a growing fear of missing something important, and being caught off guard.
Real client, real product. A basic design system was handed off by a freelance designer — I expanded and refined it from a preliminary branding pass.
Building as a sole product designer in a small team, as both designer and frontend developer. I owned the product from concept to shipped product, iterating continuously on feedback and usability testing.
Developed with Claude Code, documenting decisions in Figma and through continuous iterations. As a Danish startup, testing with U.S. customers was a challenge — now that the demo has launched, future iterations will be fixed and improved from customer feedback.
The persona was defined through a workshop I facilitated with my team members.
We defined a primary persona: their background, motivation and the key insights of their work. We expanded the persona through an empathy map, and defined why the primary (and secondary) users would pay for our legislative platform.
We drafted our primary user's journey, from the moment they find our platform, through to the feedback-capture and retention strategy.
We expanded the user journey into a service blueprint, defining the internal business processes needed to deliver it.
Every screen went through many rounds. Ideas were pinned, questioned and reworked until each page earned its place. The briefing page evolved over a few weeks through this process.
A minimal, intentionally designed tool for tracking and researching bills. Each page has its own purpose and functionality, but everything feels cohesive and intuitive.
Select interests based on keywords and policy areas. Quick view of the latest bills, stay up to date at a glance. Explore bills in the pipeline and pin the ones that matter.
Track bills, with no noise. Expand and filter to surface the most relevant. Open a bill to explore its cosponsors, latest actions and AI summaries.
Explore bills visually, grouped by policy area. Search and filter to find the most relevant, organized visually. Open a sponsor's profile to see the policy areas and bills they are working on.
